The background of the shield symbolizes a forum where all participants are equal and freely share their ideas. It also suggests the idea of networking. The beaver represents industry and hard work. The quill pen refers to learning and education, while the yellow disc suggests a coin and is thus a symbol of finance and accounting.
The owl embodies the idea of wisdom and vigilance. The chess rook symbolizes strategic thinking as well as protection. The star represents leadership and excellence.
The dolphins represent intelligence and communication. By bearing a maple leaf on their collar, they symbolize Canada from coast to coast.
The motto means “Sharing knowledge”.
