Arms (crest) of Fortrose and Rosemarkie

Official blazon

Per pale wavy: dexter, per fess embattled Vert and Azure, a barrulet embattled Or, between a rose Argent, barbed and seeded of the Third, in chief and a stag's head cabossed also of the Third in base; sinister, Gules, a demi-lion rampant guardant Argent mitred Or, issuant from a rose also Argent, barbed and seeded Vert.

Above the Shield is placed a Coronet appropriate to a statutory Community Council, videlicet:- a circlet richly chased from which are issuant four thistle leaves (one and two halves visible) and four pine cones (two visible) Or, and in an Escrol below the same this Motto "From Age to Age Endure".

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on November 15, 1989.

The arms are a modified version of the arms of the Burgh of Fortrose, without the castle and with a new crown.
