Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on January 15, 1987.
Canting arms: they show a branch of "garric" (Catalan for "oak"). The pale with the golden and red bars are the arms of the counts of Empúries, the landlords of the village. The grapes are the main crop of Garriguella, destined to making a wine with denomination of origin and champagne.
