German	Im silbernen Feld über silbernen Wellen im Schildfuß ein blaues dreimastiges Schiff, dessen Mastspitzen mit drei blauen, sechszackigen Sporenrädern besetzt sind. Am mittleren Mast hängt ein schwarzer Schild, der eine goldene, gekrönte Harpyie zeigt, begleitet von vier goldenen sechsstrahligen Sternen.

Origin/meaning

The arms show a ship to symbolise the fishing and trading, which used to be the main occupancy of the village. The harpy is the arms of Ostfriesland. The spur rowels are taken from the arms of Norden and symbolise the ties to this city.
