| Dutch | In zilver een zwarte driepas, zonder omschrijvende cirkel en met een lob naar beneden, vervlochten met een geledigde oranje driehoek; een versmald blauw schildhoofd met een gouden ster, aan de onderzijde overgaande in een-blauwe streepzoom. Het schild gelegd op een purperen voordraagkruis en overtopt met een groene pontificale hoed met aan beide zijden zes afhangende groene kwasten. Origin/meaning
The triangle symbolises the Holy Trinity and the three lobes are three people holding hands. The colours are chosen arbitrarily. The blue chief is the symbol of St, Mary and the Society of Mary of which he was a member. The star symbolises Christ.
The cross is, uniquely, made of purpure, the colour of mourning. It refers to the atrocities done by the local people and stands thus for forgiveness.
The motto in Tok Pisin means 'Your kingdome come".
