Un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, tăiat. În partea superioară, în câmp roșu, se află un semn solar, încadrat de câte o făclie, toate de aur. În partea inferioară, în câmp albastru, se află un cap de berbec de aur cu coarne de argint. Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 11, 2013.

The torch represents both the Enlightenment movement Școala Ardeleană, whose leading representatives Petru Maior and his brother, originally from the area, contributed to the cultural development of the locality, as well as the richness in methane gas.

The solar sign, reproduced after the fresco in the Petru Maior church, evokes his personality and refers to the old toponym of the commune, formerly called Poarta Câmpiei.

The ram's head symbolizes one of the basic occupations of the inhabitants, the shepherd.

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
