Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on January 31, 2024.

The the church tower symbolises the tower of the St. George church, built in 1512 in the village of Steinbild.

The wavy pale symbolises the Ems river, the windmill sails for the former Trüttken Mühle in the hamlet of Ahlen and the railroad track for the former train station in Kluse.

The colours are derived from the Diocese of Münster, to which the area historically belonged.
