German | In Schwarz eine goldene Bergmannslampe. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 20, 1939.
The miner's lamp is a symbol for the former importance of mining in the area. The colours are taken from the arms of the Lords of Hundem, to whom the area belonged in medieval times.
