Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 18, 1994.

The arms show typical symbols for an agricultural community. They already appear on the only known seal of the village, dating from 1852. The (rather unheraldic) colours were proposed at the early 20^th century by the Hungarian Imperial Archives.
