Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on December 16, 1988.
The red and silver quartering is derived from the chequered bend of the Cistercian Order and symbolises the Niederschönenfeld convent, that had many possessions in the municipality. The sword and key symbolise the local patron saints St. Paul and St. Peter. The wavy bar symbolises the Lech river.
