Origin/meaning
The griffin head and the silver and red colours are taken from the arms of the city of Malmö, the roundel refers to coins and financial activities. The circle is the wheel of transport, trade and industry, while the brick wall stands for the house (the 18th century Börshus or stock exchange) and the city, the brick joints radiating inwards and outwards from the center are to be seen as contact lines.
