Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in 2011, but not officially granted.
The falcon is taken as a symbol for the Lords of Vippach, to which the village historically belonged. The blue wavy bar is the Vippach river. The wheatear is a symbol for the agricultural character of the village.
The golden bars in black and the green bend are taken from the arms of Sachsen, as the village of Bachstedt in the municipality historically belonged to the Principality of Sachsen-Weimar.
