Origin/meaning

The saltire argent on the gules is based on the flag of the Quiteño Revolution, the first significant attempt at independence in South America. One of the armiger's ancestors, who greatly admires the bravery of those men, served a role in the following revolution, and the armiger wishes to respect that, in addition to paying homage to his ancestry on that side. The lion and cross symbolizes leadership and instruction, two things the armiger is passionate for, as well as his faith and Basque ancestry.
