Origin/meaning

The tower, hill and cuckoo are canting for the local Castle of Montcouyoul (or the Castle of the cuckoo hill). The cross is assed for the road cross in the village, the two mill irons symbolise the former watermills in the area. The besant symbolise the former iron mining in the hills, which was already operated by the Romans.
