Official blazon
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 16, 1981.

The water mill wheel and the ears of grain refer to the former grain water mill in Niederhofen, which was operated for centuries and was originally a mill for the six villages of the Urbach parish in the County Wied. The triple mountain in base symbolizes the location on the slopes of the Kirchdorfer Bach.

The colors red and gold are the colours of the former County Wied.
