History: Formed July 31, 1947, disbanded December 1, 1951. Reformed October 23, 1956 and again disbanded January 21, 1958. The Unit was again reformed March 1, 1971 and disbanded October 1991.

English Badge: In front of two cutlasses argent hilted gules guarded Or in saltire points upwards a mortar board sable.

Motto: Panache et precision.

Origin/meaning

The Cutlasses symbolises the Buccaneer Aircraft used by the Unit. The Mortar Board symbolises the role of training Pilots. The Motto translates as "Panache and precision". The badge was granted in July 1972.
