NO 830 SQUADRON, FAA History: First formed in 1940 at Royal Naval Air Station Hal Far (HMS Falcon), Malta. Finally reformed at Royal Naval Air Station Ford 1955-1957.

Origin/meaning
The Cross alludes to the George Cross awarded the Island of Malta in 1942 during which the Squadron served on the Island. The Latin Motto translates as "In the way of glory". The badge was approved on 11 August 1944.
