Origin/meaning
Sky blue is the colour of the Royal Canadian Air Force. The lightning bolts are taken from the badge of the Communications and Electronics Branch. The Arctic tern is a bird that travels in migratory patterns over immense distances, and thus symbolizes the Squadron’s ability to travel around the globe to support Canadian air operations. The badge was confirmed on August 20, 2020.
