Origin/meaning

The sheep indicates the agricultural character of the area, in which sheep farming is of great importance. The sheep wears socks as a symbol for the local textile industry, which started in the early 18^th century in the village.

The lower right half is based on the arms of the Champagne region, where the village is situated.

The windmill is a local landmark was built in the village in 1825.
