Origin/meaning

The arms were nover officially granted.

The arms are derived from the only known seal of the village, which probably dates from the 17^th century. The oldest existing copy of the seal dates from 1734. The seal showed a village symbol of unknown meaning and origin as well as two eight-pointed stars.
