The arms were officially granted in ?.

The blackbird is a typical bird for the area. The cherry tree symbolises the importance of horticulture in the municipality. The chief shows three chess rooks, taken from the arms of the Von Rochow family 614a.wsa.jpg, to which the area belonged from the 14th century until 1945. The three rooks also symbolise the three villages in the municipality.
