Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on March 24, 2000.
The green field and fir line refer to the woods of pine-trees surrounding the town. The Kanklės (a Lithuanian plucked string instrument) symbolizes the name of town:"rauda" refers to "poem", and traditional Lithuanian poems were often accompanied with kanklės.
