German	In Gold eine eingebogene grüne Spitze bis zum blauen Wellenschildfuß, belegt mit drei zu einer Garbe gebundenen goldenen Kornähren, beseitet rechts von einem schräggekreuzten schwarzen Schlägel und Eisen und links von einem schwarzen Schaufelrad.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on January 19, 2007.

The arms show elements for the three former municipalities. The miner's tools refer to the coal mining in Rießen, the wheat for the agricultural character of Pohlitz and the wheel to the watter mills in the Schlaube in Schernsdorf.

The base refers to the many waterways in the municipality.
