Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 4, 2001.

The silver pall refers to the confluence of three rivulets to the small river Pena, and the three clovers refer to three brothers Petras, Jurgis and Grigas Suntautaitis, who together established this settlement in 1561. Also the clover refers to agriculture, and the golden colour refers to wealth.
