Official blazon
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 16, 1974.

The scales and sword symbolize the high court in Urbach for the Upper County of Wied, which has been documented since 1323, and the market law associated with the court. The wolf-hook is the symbol for the Märkerwald, jointly owned by the five communities of the Urbach parish.
