WHITEHILLS AND DISTRICT (Community Council)

Official blazon
Tierced per pale Vert, Azure and Vert, an anchor between fish naiant in chief, and a thistle slipped and leaved in Argent, accompanied in each flank by a wheat stalk patewas bladed and eared Or.
Above the Shield is placed a Coronet appropriate to statutory Community Council, videlicet:- a circlet chased from which are issuant four thistle leaves (one and two halves visible) and four pine cones (two visible) Or, in an Escrol under the same this Motto "Heave Awa' Fitehills"
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on August 14, 1999.
The arms were designed after a children's competition and show symbols of agriculture and fishing, the main economic activities in the area. In the point is a Scottish thistle.
The motto is in the local dialect and is a fisherman's cry.
