Origin/meaning
Wildberg received city rights in the late 13th century from the Counts of Hohenberg. The local seals in the 15th and 16th century all showed the arms of the Hohenberg family, divided of silver and red. In the late 16th century the letter W was added to distinguish the arms from the arms of the family. The deer antler of Württemberg in the upper half of the arms first appeared in 1612. The arms have not changed since.
