Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on November 25, 2014.
The emblem was based on the historical, natural and geographical features of the settlement. The village of Yanglichi was formed during the Kazan Khanate in 1546-1551. The first settlers came to these places from the village of Tatmyshi, which is located in the north-west of the village. The territory was developed on the eve of the annexation of the Chuvash Territory to the Russian state, mainly by uprooting forest for arable land. The borders were marked by lonely standing pines, reminiscent of the letter "T" (hoe xyr) because of the cut tops, which is depicted in the coat of arms with a T-shaped cross.
The main figure of the coat of arms is a silver owl - a symbol of wisdom, foresight and mature thinking. The bird's wings symbolize freedom, speed, protection, they also personify a native of the village of Yanglichi - an honored military pilot, Hero of Russia, Lieutenant General N.F. Gavrilov.
The green color of the shield field and gold emphasize the beauty of nature, reflect the main branch of the economy - agriculture. The oak leaf signifies strength, fortress, glory, recalling the feat of the inhabitants of the settlement, who sacrificed their lives on the altar of the Great Victory.
