В пересечённом зелёном и лазоревом поле острозубчато изломанный пояс, пересечённый серебром и червленью. Поверх всего - золотой восстающий медведь, держащий в лапах над головой серебряную с червлёными плавниками рыбу в пояс. Щит увенчан муниципальной короной соответствующего образца.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on March 3, 2010.
The green and blue fields represent the nature/agriculture and the many lakes and the Pacific Ocean respectively. The silver and red points refer to the local volcanic mountain range, with snow-capped peaks and magma underneath.
The bear is a very common local animal and symbolises the strength of the people in the district. The salmon refers to the importance of (salmon) fishing for the region.
The arms replaced the previous arms, adopted on September 26, 1997:
These arms only showed the bear.
