Across the bottom is a Dark blue scroll doubled and inscribed with "STABILIS VICTORIA" in Gold letters. |
Origin/meaning
The Dark Blue colour symbolises the Kentucky Soldiers that fought on the Union Side in the US Civil War, and the Saltire those who fougth on the Confederate Side. The Dragon breathing fire symbolises Chemical Warfare. The Motto translates as "Support the Victory".
The Coat of Arms and Distinctive Unit Insignia, was both approved on 15 August 2002.
