English Shield: Azure a pale Or and per chevron embattled Gules, in chief a millrind Vert and in base a fountain.

Crest: That for the regiments and separate battalions of the Puerto Rico Army National Guard:On a wreath of the colors Or and Azure, upon a closed book Gules with pages edged Or apashchal lamb couchant with staff and banner of San Juan (Gules a Cross Argent) all Proper.
Motto: We are proud to support.

Distinctive Unit Insignia, Description: A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in heigth overall consisting of a shield blazoned:Azure a pale Or and per chevron embattled Gules, in chief a millrind Vert and in base a fountain. Attached below and to the sides of the shield a Blue scroll inscribed "WE ARE PROUD TO SUPPORT" in Gold letters.

Origin/meaning

The Embattled chevron symbolises the historic El Morro Fortress built in 1584 by the Spaniards to protect the City of San Juan. The Fountain alludes to the waters of San Juan Bay. The Millrind symbolises the Support function.

The Arms were approved on 9 December 1969 and the Distinctive Unit Insignia was approved on 19 November 1970.
