Consolidated (1 Oct 1993) with the 6947 Electronic Security Squadron which was activated on 1 Jul 1986. Redesignated as 23 Intelligence Squadron on 1 Oct 1993. Inactivated on 30 Jun 1996. Redesignated as 23 Information Operations Squadron on 17 Jul 2000. Activated on 1 Aug 2000. Inactivated on 7 Dec 2011. Redesignated as 23 Intelligence Squadron on 4 Aug 2017. Activated on 2 Sep 2017.
