Consolidated (12 Oct 1984) with the 27 Air Police Squadron, Fighter, Two Engine, which was constituted on 14 Jun 1948. Activated on 1 Aug 1948. Redesignated:27 Air Police Squadron, Fighter, Jet, on 1 Dec 1949; 27 Air Police Squadron on 1 Feb 1950. Inactivated on 16 Jun 1952. Activated on 8 Jan 1958. Inactivated on 1 Oct 1958. Redesignated 27 Security Police Squadron on 28 Jan 1969. Activated on 8 Jun 1969. Redesignated:27 Security Forces Squadron on 1 Jul 1997; 27 Special Operations Security Forces Squadron on 1 Oct 2007.
