History: Maintenance Squadron, 31 Maintenance and Supply Group (designated on 6 Nov 1947; organized on 20 Nov 1947; discontinued on [22] Aug 1948) and the 31 Consolidated Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (constituted on 30 Aug 1957; activated on 25 Sep 1957; inactivated on 1 Oct 1962) consolidated (22 Oct 1984) with the 31 Maintenance Squadron, Fighter, Jet (constituted on 15 Jun 1948; activated on 22 Aug 1948; redesignated as 31 Maintenance Squadron on 20 Jan 1950, then as 31 Field Maintenance Squadron on 16 Jun 1952; inactivated on 25 Sep 1957; activated on 20 Sep 1962 and organized on 1 Oct 1962; redesignated as 31 Field Maintenance Squadron on 1 Mar 1978). Consolidated squadron retained designation as 31 Field Maintenance Squadron. Redesignated as:31 Equipment Maintenance Squadron on 1 May 1978; 31 Maintenance Squadron on 1 Nov 1991. Inactivated on 1 Apr 1994. Activated on 1 Apr 1994.
