459th Force Support Squadron, US Air Force
History: Constituted as 459 Base Headquarters and Air Base Squadron (Reduced) on 6 October 1942. Activated on 28 October 1942. Redesignated as 459 Base Headquarters and Air Base Squadron on 17 March 1943. Disbanded on 31 March 1944. Reconstituted, and redesignated as 459 Combat Support Squadron, on 18 June 1976. Activated in the Reserve on 1 July 1976. Redesignated as:459 Air Base Squadron on 1 July 1986; 459 Combat Support Squadron on 1 April 1990; 459 Mission Support Squadron on 1 February 1992; 459 Mission Support Flight on 1 September 2003; 459 Force Support Squadron on 15 October 2010.
