51st Force Support Squadron, US Air Force
History: Constituted as 51 Food Service Squadron, Fighter, Jet, on 10 August 1948. Activated on 18 August 1948. Redesignated as 51 Food Service Squadron on 1 February 1950. Inactivated on 25 October 1957. Consolidated (10 October 1984) with the 51 Support Squadron, which was constituted, and activated, on 30 June 1960. Organized on 18 July 1960. Redesignated as 51 Services Squadron on 8 January 1964. Inactivated on 31 May 1971. Activated on 1 November 1971. Inactivated on 28 February 1975. Activated on 1 May 1981. Redesignated as:51 Morale, Welfare, Recreation and Services Squadron on 1 July 1992; 51 Services Squadron on 1 January 1994; 51 Force Support Squadron on 19 June 2009.
