Origin/meaning
The Colours are those of Transportation Units. The Indian Sun Symbol refers to New Mexico to present location of the Battalion. The Winged Wheel symbolise the Transportation Mission. The Motto translates as "First to be ready".
The Arms and the Distinctive Unit Insignia was both approved on 26 June 1961.
