Activated on 1 November 1969. Redesignated as 86 Civil Engineering Squadron on 14 November 1969. Inactivated on 14 June 1985. Activated on 1 May 1991. Redesignated as 86 Civil Engineer Squadron on 1 March 1994. Inactivated on 15 January 2004. Activated on 16 July 2009.
