96th Infantry Division The Deadeye Division, US Army

History: Activated 5 September 1918 as 96th Division, organized 20 October 1918 at Camp Wadswoth (South Carolina). Inactivated at the same location on 7 Janaury 1919. Assigned 24 June 1921 to the Organized Reserve. Activated 15 August 1942, reorganized at Camp Adair (Oregon) as the 96th Infantry Division. Inactivated 3 February 1946 at Camp Anza (California). Reactivated later in 1946 as a Reserve Division. Inactivated in 1967. The Number 96 was then reactivated as 96th Army Reserve Command. After some reorganisations it was on 17 September designated 96th Sustainment Brigade.
