Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in 1905.
The village was its own lordship until 1796. The village was ruled by a number of families, who used their own seals on official documents. In the 19th century the village did not have its own seal or arms. Only in 1905 the village council adopted the above arms showing a canting oak tree (chêne is oak).
