Origin/meaning

The arms were registered on May 11, 2006.

The the six-sided classicist chapel with a belfry in the center of the village is the main landmark of the village. Linden leaves symbolize the trees that surround the chapel. The chapel is placed on a hill (chlum means hill), as a canting element.

Two designs were initially made, each with a different symbol on the hill. The fleur-de-lys is taken from the arms of the Tryclar of Tryclar family, lords of the village from the end of the 16^th century until 1655. The other proposal showed two crayfish claws, taken from the arms of the Žitín family, lords of Blaždice, symbolising the former village of Blaždice in the municipality.

Both proposals were shown to the public and on December 16, 2005 the local council chose the design with the fleur-de-lys, which was granted in 2006.
