Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 15, 1965.

The arms are based on the arms of the family Ochsenberger zu Kitzbühel, whose arms are known since the 14^th century. Their arms were part of the seal of the Jochberg court and were therefore taken as municipal arms. The arms also refer to the -Berg part of the name and the agricultural character of the municipality.
